Brandon Daevon Graves, 19, of Lancaster, was driving a car with "heavily tinted windows," an out rear-side brake light, and "expired inspection and emissions stickers," along Columbia Avenue at Jackson Drive on Fed. 17, 2023 Manheim Township police explain in the release.
"Consent to search the vehicle was denied by Graves. The vehicle was towed to the police station and a search warrant was obtained. Suspected marijuana in a clear vacuum-sealed bag, drug paraphernalia, several smoked 'joints' of suspected marijuana, and a handgun was found," the police say. "The suspected marijuana was field tested and the presence of THC was found, which is the active ingredient in marijuana. Due to Graves only being 19 years of age, he is not eligible to possess a license to carry firearms or to have a concealed firearm in his vehicle."
A criminal complaint was filed and Graves was arrested on charges of Firearms Carried Without License, PWID-marijuana, Altered, Forged Documents, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Oper. Suspended Reg, Unlawful Activities, Req. Finan. Resp., General Lighting Requirements Feb. 23 at 9:18 a.m., according to the release.
He was arraigned and released on $50,000 unsecured bail police say and court records confirm. His preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Mary Mongiovi Sponaugle on March 14, at 2:30 p.m., according to his latest court docket.
He also has active charges against him for driving under the influence and speeding, he previous court dockets show.
